Are you passionate about supporting local businesses and fostering a vibrant community? The Bracebridge Chamber of Commerce invites enthusiastic individuals to join our Board of Directors.
Position: Board Member Location: Bracebridge, Ontario (Part time or Full time residents are welcome to apply)
Commitment: Part-time, Volunteer
About Us: The Bracebridge Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to promoting economic growth, advocating for local businesses, and creating a thriving environment for our community. We facilitate networking opportunities, offer resources, and champion initiatives that enhance Bracebridge's economic prosperity.
Role Overview: As a Board Member, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the direction and initiatives of the Chamber. You'll collaborate with other board members, contribute innovative ideas, and support the execution of strategies that benefit local businesses and residents alike.
Your responsibilities include:
- Attending monthly board meetings to discuss and decide on Chamber activities, policies, and programs. (Hybrid meetings available)
Other committee work as needed including:
- Participating in networking and community events.
- Advocating for the interests of local businesses and fostering partnerships within the community.
Qualifications: We're seeking dedicated individuals who possess:
- A passion for Bracebridge's economic development and community welfare.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Leadership experience or a background in (but not limited to) business, entrepreneurship, marketing/communications, community networks, governance, hospitality/tourism/
- Commitment to attend board meetings and actively participate in Chamber activities.
