Unconscious Bias

Join us for a free online presentation that tackles one of the most pervasive barriers to inclusion in the workplace: conscious and unconscious bias. Mariam Chiasson from the Centre for Diversity and Inclusion (CCDI) will explore the sources and mechanics of bias, its impact and cyclicality. Participants will be provided with strategies to increase awareness and mitigate the impact of bias in the workplace.

This session is open to anyone to attend, but will be especially beneficial for employers, service providers, management, and frontline staff. Live French translation will be available. *This session will not be recorded.*

This event is held on March 21 in recognition of the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (IDERD), internationally observed each year to commemorate the Sharpeville Massacre of 1960 when police opened fire and killed 69 people at a peaceful demonstration against apartheid "pass laws" in South Africa.
