As the proud new Owner and Operator of STEVENS’ INDEPENDENT GROCER, I am elated to personally invite you, members of the Bracebridge Chamber, to a special fundraising event, that I will be hosting at my store on December 15th. My objective is to raise funds in support of the South Muskoka Hospital Foundation: the hardworking front-line staff and the patients who rely on their care. Did you know that the Emergency Department at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital (SMMH) is one of the busiest emergency departments in cottage country, and sees approximately 22,000 patients each year, averaging 60 people daily who need emergency care in our community?

All funds generated via donations received will go directly to the South Muskoka Hospital Foundation, to achieve their $2M goal for costly equipment like a portable X-ray system, fetal heart monitor, anesthesia machines and more, as they receive no funding from the Government of Ontario to purchase new or replacement equipment!

You will enjoy wine tastings – compliments of The Wine Rack – while getting inspired for the Festive Season at home, with PC Holiday Menu samplings, also available to purchase in store.
So put on your festive, amp up your donations and mingle with fellow supporters to the mellow sounds of live music, and even have your pictures taken with Santa. The fundraising portion will be in the form of an entrance fee by donation – along with timed raffles for door prizes during our drop-in event – with all funds going to the South Muskoka Hospital Foundation.

Leah Walker, Executive Director of SMHF and Kathryn Edwards, Development Officer will be attending to bring greetings and thanks from the Foundation.
