He has led over 350 workshops and direct interventions to improve the governance and strategic leadership of for profits and not for profit organizations. Prior to his consulting career\, Don was a corporate officer and global head of HR at Nortel Networks\, CIBC and Celestica.\n\n\n\nDon is a member of the Executive Committee of the Ontario Chapter of the Institute of Corporate Directors and is Chair of the Not For Profit Program Committee. He is a Past Chair of Imagine Canada and Past Chair of Imagine's Standards Council\, a Canada-wide initiative to establish standards of excellence (including: governance\, ethical fundraising\, accountability\, transparency\, and human resources) for all charities and not for profits in Canada. He personally championed and led the development of the Standards Program which is recognized globally as a leading example of capacity development.\n\n\n\nDon has an MBA and BA\, Psychology from McMaster University and is certified as a Chartered Director by the Directors College. At the Chartered Director graduation ceremony in 2006\, Don was awarded the "Gilbert Bennett Gold Standard Award" as the top graduate of the Chartered Director Program following which he served as a faculty member of the Directors College for 8 years.
